Fashion Trend for 2011: Girlie Tux

Hey fashionistas ! We’re bringing you another 2011 fashion trend. You can finally give your little black dress a rest and switch it up a little bit with a fashion forward girlie tux. Turn heads in men’s tailored suit this coming holiday season. Check out how some celebrities and designers are rocking this style on the runway and red carpets.

Evan Rachel Wood is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana girlie tux from the fall 2011 collection to a Venice Film Festival red carpet shoot. We love her hounds tooth pumps which brings this out fit together nicely.

Beyonce gave a touching performance at the VMA’s in the Dolce & Gabbaba girlie tux with a sequin jacket. Yes, she is pregnant and she was just radiant at this event. We’re so happy for her.

Check the ankle tapered slacks and fitted double breast jacket girlie tux from the fall 2011 Pucci runway. Women can wear a nicely tailored suit and look absolutely femme and fab.

Another favorite of ours is fashionista, Katie Holmes, who typically wears cutting edge dresses, but she switched it up at a New York red carpet event in a black and white girlie tux polished off with polka dot pumps. So cute!

Stella McCarthney always has such visionary designs. Her interpretation of the girlie tux is very minimalist with no lapels or collars, hidden jacket closures and tailored flared sleeves. We love everything about this suit.

The Fall 2011 collection of the Row had a lot of oversized tuxedos showing off fine fabrics with relaxed rolled up sleeves. The Olsen twins hit up a Swarovski red carpet event wearing a couple of suits from their line. Check out the zipper bottom skinny jeans and satin blazer. Nice!

At the same event as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Kristen Dunst chose to sport a great girlie tuxedo look donning a fitted suit with satin mini collar and crisp white shirt. She wore her hair slicked band and simple black pumps. Well put together.

The new face of Miu Miu, Hailee Steinfeld wore a Louis Vuitton girlie tux with sequin collar to the MTV Movie Awards as well. The emerald green clutch was a sweet touch too.
