Fashion Beauty Buzz: Jessica Simpson to Launch BeautyMint.com

Great news fashionistas ! Jessica Simpson made headlines earlier this year for obtaining billionaire status due to her savvy fashion and business prowess. Simpson built a massive fashion empire all by the age of 30. Now producing multiple product lines, Jessica has one more up her sleeve. It looks like Jessica is determined to break into the beauty business as well. This time she is looking to have a little ecommerce success.

The beauty world is all a buzz with the announcement that Jessica is slated to collaborate with aesthetician to the stars Nerida Joy on creating skincare beauty products for Beautymint.com. If the name of Simpson’s ecommerce venture brings to mind online style sites jewelmint.com or stylemint.com then you’re right on the money as the websites are under the same umbrella, better known as beachmint.com.

Jessica will be joining other celebrity faces such as Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, whom are leading what is being called a “tee shirt revolution,” for Stylemint and actress Kate Bosworth, who collaborates every month on jewelry designs with her celebrity stylist and friend for Jewelmint designs.

No doubt Simpson will be banking on the success that she had endorsing Proactiv, the popular skincare product that promises to clear up facial blemishes. She has also shown a special interest in beauty and fashion styles while travelling the world on her VH1 televised excursion, The Price of Beauty.

This will surely be a challenge for Simpson seeing as how most of her success lately has mainly come in the clothing and footwear categories. It will however be interesting to see how she does with this new venture in conjunction with planning her wedding day and mentoring on the new NBC series Fashion Star.

In any event, Jessica should be well within her element selling skincare products on a monthly basis. We think her target audience will respond and we’re very excited to see what beautymint.com will look like once it launches officially. This whole “mint” revolution is becoming a real trend in the realm of internet shopping. Are you signed up for either www.jewelmint.com or www.stylemint.com? Will you subscribe to www.beautymint.com?
